DKIM Lookup Tool: Check DKIM Selector and Public Key Record
Lookup a DKIM record by selector and domain. DKIM records are stored as TXT records under selector._domainkey.example.com and contain the public key used to verify signed email.
What is a DKIM selector?
A DKIM selector identifies which public key should be used to verify a signed message. Mail platforms often use selectors such as default, google, selector1, selector2, k1 or a provider-specific value.
How to find your selector
- Check your email provider DNS instructions.
- Inspect the DKIM-Signature header of a real email and look for the s= value.
- Use the domain from the d= value and the selector from the s= value.
FAQ
Why does my DKIM lookup return no record?
The selector may be wrong, the DNS record may not be published, or the provider may use another hostname.
Does DKIM replace SPF?
No. DKIM and SPF solve different parts of email authentication and work best with DMARC.
